PAL Always Late (pwede ring PALpak)

It had been a long while since I travelled via Philippine Airlines (for both domestic and international flights). Aside from the competitive rates of other airlines, I got tired of PAL's consistently delayed flights.

Last weekend, Myke had a business trip to Davao and I tagged along. Since it was his office who did the reservations, I had no choice but to take PAL.

There were no hitches on the flight going to Davao. We left Manila and arrived in Davao on time. I was impressed. I said they were probably threatened by Cebu Pacific's "On time 95% of the time" campaign. I spoke too soon.

The flight going back to Manila was delayed. 2 hours delayed! While we boarded on time, they suddenly announce that there was going to be a SLIGHT delay. So, I just went to sleep, hoping that by the time I'd wake up, we'd be mid-air already. But no, in the middle of my sleep, they announced that we had to alight the plane and wait for further announcements! Not only did they disturb my sleep, I didn't like the fact that I had to wake up early to catch the flight(our flight was at 7:45am) only to find out that it's delayed! (But we were in a better place, since one of the passengers had to catch a connecting flight to somewhere from Manila)

I stand by my promise of not flying PAL again...unless it's free. Yes, this flight was free, so I am not really complaining much :)

Anyway, the lousy flight aside, I'll soon be posting about the wonderful adventure I had in Davao.

Insomniac

I had just recently blogged about being able to doze off wherever, whenever. And now is actually just the perfect time to be able to do just that. But behold, it's almost 4am and I am wide awake.

I have been tossing and turning since 12 midnight. I have tried everything to just get some sleep and nothing seems to work.

I have turned on...turned off ...turned on the TV....

Channel surfed ten times over...

Read a book...

Read a magazine...

Surfed the net...

Counted sheeps...dogs...my pulse beats...my heartbeats...

Now blogging...

Heck, if I can only go out and get some sleeping pills or sex (I read somewhere that this is one the things can make you fall asleep -- not that I know, ok. Hehe)!

I WANT TO SLEEP!

The Past Revisited

I guess one of the things you need to do before getting married is to get rid of stuff that you don't need to bring to your new home. Like those boxes of memories and memorabilia of past relationships.

As I took out the boxes from the storage cabinet, I couldn't help but go through the contents. Funny how we evolve after each relationship. Cliche as it may sound, but, we do become better people and partners because of the things we learn along the way.

Despite four failed relationships (to my ex's who might come across this post - no pun intended), am glad that my heart remained strong to just keep on loving, yet wise enough to determine what's real or not.

And so, here I am, about to walk down the aisle and say "I DO" to the one that God has prepared for me.

==============

On a lighter note, funny what you unearth in those boxes, like baby pictures of your ex's! What do you do with them?! No point in keeping them and I don't think it's right to throw them out. So, here I am, putting the photos in envelopes and giving them back. I am sure they will be soooo thrilled to see those pictures again! Can't wait to hear their reactions! (Hopefully, their partners will be happy to keep them.)
